Since yesterday was the Queen’s 90th Birthday, what better way to celebrate that than to show you what I found at my sister in
law, Phyllis’ home. Before I show you, let me tell you that this week’s word prompts are the
letter Q, a favourite photograph
and at rest.
This
is the card that my brother and Phyllis were sent on the occasion of their 60th
wedding anniversary from the QUEEN.
Phyllis
also had this commemorative mug for when
the QUEEN has her Silver Jubilee in 1977.
Below are all photographs taken at Blessingbourne House, Co Tyrone and include
reflections which I thought you might find a FAVOURITE among and further on, one of the owner’s horses and peacocks both AT REST. Enjoy.
I
hope you manage to find a FAVOURITE image among these photographs I have shown
you today.
I
am linking this post with WEEKEND REFLECTIONS and FRIDAY’S HUNT.
Many thanks for your visit and also to all those who leave comments.
Lovely photos today Margaret. You know, I'm sure we have the exact same mug that you show. Only ten more years and we may get the same letter!
ReplyDeleteI had managed to forget about the Queen. Good to see that you didn't. How much longer can the monarchy survive?
ReplyDeletebeautiful water views and a happy horse.
ReplyDeleteFabulous photos. As always.
ReplyDeletePeaceful shots, Margaret. What a special memento that the queen sent. My parents are just one year shy of their 60th.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you posted about the Queen's 90th birthday. I meant to but didn't have an appropriate photo so well done. Some great reflections this week.
ReplyDeletethe dock images are incredible, really beautiful!! what a great place that would be to sit and ponder!!!
ReplyDeleteHello Margaret, lovely images and birthday tribute to the Queen. I love the pond and reflections. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to have a letter from the Queen and the mug is lovely. Wonderful photos as always Margaret.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning, Margaret! Gini and I apologize for being away lately. Life occasionally interferes with things we would much rather be doing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely collection of images! The boat docks are so idyllic and remind me I must go fishing soon. The resting horse and peacock remind me it would be nice to take a nap.
We hope your upcoming weekend will be filled with beauty, joy and peace!
Lovely photos and the one of the peacock is exceptional! Wishing you well!
ReplyDeleteMost definitely, the reflections in those water shots are my favourites today.I love to see those.
ReplyDeleteLong Live the Queen ... I remember her Coronation way back when. How amazing that she has just turned 90. That has to be my favorite picture even though I am over here to look at your many lovely reflections. Love the lazy horse and Peacock too. Fun pictures, Margaret :)

Love that peacock on the table!
ReplyDelete~
Now that she's 90, it's easy to forget she was quite lovely as a young woman. And... lazy horse, lazy peacock! Fun to see.
ReplyDeleteThe jetty were beautiful, and Peacock is superb.
ReplyDeleteAhh beautiful Blessingborne! That peacock was at rest on the same table when we visited!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenery! And happy birthday to the queen!
ReplyDeleteThe photographs at Blessingbourne House are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteou couldn't have picked a better Q!
ReplyDeleteQ like Queen, of course, why I haven't thought about HER ???
ReplyDeleteGreat waterscapes...
Beautiful photos! I hope the Queen had a happy B-day. My wife went to London to for her silver jubilee almost 40 yrs ago.
ReplyDeleteI love the peacock at rest. Very timely that Q came at the same time as the Queen's birthday. I lived in
ReplyDeleteEngland at the time of the coronation and have a mug that was given to the children to commemorate it.
There are a lot of royal followers with all kinds of memorabilia, I have a box of Lady Diana things. Cheeky peacock resting on the picnic table.
ReplyDeletemy favorite is the peacock :)
ReplyDeleteThese are all great, but my favorite is the last picture of the water, with the beautiful cloud reflections!
ReplyDeleteGreat memories of the queen! I'm not sure I could find a favorite image. They are all beautiful! Love both critters at rest. Had to smile at the peacock on the table. Thanks so much for joining Friday's Hunt!
