Time for WeekendReflections and The Weekend Roundup and the letter is C and Clown.   From thinking what photo can I find to illustrate CLOWN to coming up with a COLLECTION of COLOURFUL photo on this post. Below is a Puffin which is known as the CLOWN of the see.These shots were taken when I visited Great Saltee Island in Ireland.

Then I had a brain wave.  I was passing a 'party shop' and thought I might find  inspiration in there and below are the photos of some scary CLOWNS. and a CLOWN tie., my grand CHILD, Matthew and this is my STREET PHOTOGRAPHY.

WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY - EXTRA

These photographs of Gannets were taken by Danny, one of my bird group when we visited Great Saltee Island in June this year.  The second two Gannets are in different stages of immaturity while the first shot is how the breeding adult birds greet each other every time they come  together  I am linking with Wild Bird Wednesday

i am in the process of uploading and editing videos that I took on Great Saltee in 2015 and then will start on my stills!!! I am way behind on this work, taking too many photogaphs and not enough days in the week!

FRIDAYS HUNT and WEEKEND REFLECTIONS

Time again for Friday’s Hunt and Weekend Reflections and today’s letter is Y, Favourite and Splash.  Y is for YELLOW and I thought the first shot had a wonderful SPLASH of colours and you can see the YELLOW is SPLASHed throughout it.  Also my YELLOW clogs are slighly on the big size for me!!.  These 2 images were taken when i visited the Keukenhol Gardens in Amsterdam this year..

Not only is this a REFLECTION image above but you can see the YELLOW lights in the background of the hotel and also the way the water fountain makes a SPLASH on the water.  These images was taken on our way back to the hotel after an evening cruise in Amsterdam.  

While we were in Amsterdam we visited the Rijks Museum and in the garden they have this fountain and it was such fun to watch as all the jets did not come up at the same time and people tried to get inside the whole fountain before they got wet and then had to try and get out again before they even got one SPLASH of water on them. Often they did not succeed!  Two if us had a go.

I was away for the weekend on Great Saltee Island, near Kilmore Quay in Wexford and while waiting for the boat to take us to the mainland I photographed the waves as they dashed against the rocks creating a huge SPLASH.

Great Saltee Island (Part 17 )

This, for the moment is the last post on Great Saltee Island and I have many more photographs to show you however I hope you have enjoyed the past 17 posts from this wonderful island.  Notice the different sizes in the chicks.

My daughter and two grandchildren are arriving from Malawi however I have scheduled posts for you to enjoy. I will not be commenting or answering questions during their visit alhtough when possible hope to read and see many of your posts (internet premitting).

WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY - Great Saltee Island (Part 16)

Sunday I showed you a Gannet shot by shot coming in to land, yesterday you saw close ups of Gannets however in this penultimate post from Great Saltee Island,(for the moment) the Gannets are in flight mode.  Sorry the shots are not so sharp as I had hoped.  VIDEO is at the end of the post.  Enjoy.
