SATURDAY CRITTERS

To help keep the birds off the bowling green there are 6 plastic Owls  and about 8 snakes and this is one of the owls and snakes.  The Ducks ornament are outside of of the residenets doors and the man’s surname is Duck!

WEEKEND REFELECTION AND THE WEEKEND ROUNDUP

Time for WeekendReflections and The Weekend Roundup and the letter is R and Rough.  This is very ROUGH bark on this tree and this Treecreeper is able to move up and down it with ease with his large claws.  A guy at our church had the perfect ROUGH tee shirt on for this meme today! The video is taken of RUNNERS along the Esplanade at Cairns and following them were bike RIDERS. The final shot is my STREET PHOTOGRAPHY this week.

OVER THE HILL

There is an area of Tropical forest just behind where the houses are built and we have access to it.  It is called “Over the hill” and there is a team of residents who plant more native trees etc and build bridges and paths.  It is also where we keep our Bee hives.  There is a stream running through is.  These are a few photos I took one day.

Time for WeekendReflections and The Weekend Roundup and the letter is P and Pointed  This is my daughter and her friend are in a PADDLE boat in South Africa. These POOL cues are POINTED towards the ceiling and one of our residents is POINTING to the one tile in mahjong that is up the wrong way.  The final shot are 2 PEOPLE who at in Botanica House to organise a fashion show which I have asked to be a model.   I am using it for my STREET PHOTOGRAPHY.

THROUGH MY LENS

The beautiful Ulysses butterfly is found in various stages in some trees at Botanica Lifestyle Resort.  Here I have photographed 3 stages until it becomes an adult butterfly. (backwards)

It has a wingspan of about 14 cm (5.5 in), but depending on subspecies has some variations in size (western subspecies largest). The upperside of the wings are an iridescent electric blue; the underside is a more subdued black and brown. The colours are produced by the microscopic structure of the scales, a phenomenon called structural colouration.

The first 2 photos are the White - tipped Tree frog but not MY Freddy.  I photographed this one clinging to the entrance doors of Botanica House.  When I arrived home, Freedy was in ful voice waiting for me!!
