THROUGH MY LENS

My friend Sue and her husband are on a caravan holiday travelling over Australia and I am following her route when she sends my photographs so as most of you will not ever be in Australia, come along for the ride.  There is not much water in  the Gilbery River so I assume they will be glad to see the rains when they come soon.

THROUGH MY LENS

These photographs were taken of a group of residents who knit these squares and were sown together in order to sent it to Ethiopian women who have suffered from obstetric fistulas.  Dr Catherine Hanlon developed an operation to repair these problems. The second blanket was totally knit by Liz and it also will be sent to Ethiopia.
