WEEKEND REFLECTIONS AND THE WEEKEND ROUNDUP

Time for WeekendReflections and The Weekend Roundup and the letter is  K and Kind.  Do any of you remember sweet shops like this?  They had every conceivable KIND of sweet to tempt you to buy some. The final shot was taken at the Ulster Folk Museum in Co Down, N. Ireland and I am sure this gentleman used KINDLING to start his fire.  I am linking to the James's STREET PHOTOGRAPHY meme.

WEEKEND REFLECTIONS AND THE WEEKEND ROUNDUP

Time for Weekend Reflections and The Weekend Roundup and the letter is N and Number. My first image with REFLECTIONS is a NAUTICAL one and has a NUMBER of yachts in it and was photographed on one of my early morning walks down at the Bangor Marina.  The remaining NUMEROUS images and information were taken at the Ulster Transport Museum and all the images have a NUMBER in them.  Probably more "N"'s in the script but that is for you to find!!!

Each day I try and take a different walk taking photos and I now have several of my groups that are on WhatsApp and so daily I am spending more time editing the images so that members can see nature and keep in communication with one another as we are all in isolation.  So, I have not had  the same time to comment on your posts but I do look at them.  It is taking all of my time still making a daily post of my own!

FRIDAY'S HUNT and WEEKEND REFLECTIONS

SCAVENGR HUNT SUNDAY and THOUGH MY LENS

These ’’spooky’ photographs were taken at a dance studio where every week I along with a small group of retired people meet and are involved in an “Acting Up” group.  The owner of the studio decorates the place for the young children.

Now this is my fire in my drawing room quite a number of years ago but I thought it looked cosy.

Three months ago, I became a Great Great Auntie and his Mum brought Rian up by train from Dublin this week to visit his Great Great Nana and Papa.  
Doesn't he look lovely and cosy in his pram.

3. Denim
The other day I was in the High Street and I noticed a new fabric shop which reminded me I needed a denim photograph.  Above is a lovely soft denim fabric the lady was selling and while I was in the shop a friend that I had not seen for years entered, wondered what I was doing and then immediately stuck her leg out for me to photograph her denim jeans! Job done!

4. Candy
Now this candy shop, well we know it as a sweet shop in the UK, anyway it is at the Ulster Folk Museum at Cultra, Northern Ireland and
 you can buy sweets using the scales that are in ounces!
Below is my grandson Daniel with a candy larger than his head!

5. Dressed Up

When I found the fire photograph I also found this image of Annika , my granddaughter who loved to get all dressed up that same Christmas.  She was only 1 year old then.

SCAVENGER HUNT SUNDAY

I was visiting the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum recently and apart from the pumpkins, all the other photographs and video were taken there.

 1. Numbers

This shot above was taken in one of the classrooms.  

The Museum has 2 schools.

Below are the points which would have been in a signal box and are now in the Transport part of the Museum.

 2. Hot

This photograph was taken in the Blacksmith's workshop and the video will describe what he is doing.

Below, is a very hot fire in the stove where this gentleman is making dropped scones which were delicious.

3. Pumpkin

Pumpkins as far as the eye can see.

4. Quiet 

Now these would certainly be two quiet places especially the one above as it is a police cell and perhaps the people who sat in there might also have wishd there was sitting in the quiet of this Church Of Ireland church which was built originally in 1790.  It came to the Musuem in 1976 and opened in 1983.  It had a lovely 'HOT' fire roaring in the grate the day I was there.

I could have shown you so many photographs from the Museum to illuustrate 'full' but i choose this lovely dresser full of crockery above.

Below, the Confectioners Shop was filled not only with lots of sweets but with many other bye gone products.
