Just to up date you on my arm/shoulder, my physio and myself believe I have turned a corner and she is very pleased at the progress it is making.  However at present I do not indeed typing too much yet and so I will be leaving few comments.

THROUGH MY LENS

Here in Northern Ireland lockdown has eased  but still with social distancing.  I still have some walking images to show you before I had torn a ligament in my knew (still improving very slowly) and you are very welcome to join our walks, albeit still 3' apart! This is our  one  and only male Peacock in Ward Park and today he was sleeping!

SATURDAY CRITTERS

We are all still on lockdown however we are allowed to walk once a day so come along with me today and we will go into Ward and I managed to captured these images through 1” wire.  They are Lady Amherst’s pheasant  (Displaying) and a Peacock tail feathers

SATURDAY CRITTERS - Amsterdam

Near the end of our time at Kuekenhof Gardens in Holland, we spied an area that had some animals such as Turkey, Pheasant, Hens, Ducks, Pigs and Rabbits in it so these are a few of those images.

We are going to have a breather from the bulb fields and the Amsterdam for a week as I walked on the 'wild side' of Mount Stewart and saw the Bluebells and want to show you them most of next week.

The Peacock is indigenous to India. It was brought to King Solomon by his ships from Tarshish which in this case was probably a district on the Malabar coast of India, or in Ceylon.

FRIDAY'S HUNT and WEEKEND REFLECTIONS

Since yesterday was the Queen’s 90^th Birthday, what better way to celebrate that than to show you what I found at my sister in law, Phyllis’ home.  Before I show you, let me tell you that this week’s word prompts are the 

letter Q, a favourite photograph and at rest.

This is the card that my brother and Phyllis were sent on the occasion of their 60^th wedding anniversary from the QUEEN.

Phyllis also had this commemorative mug for when

 the QUEEN has her Silver Jubilee in 1977.

SATURAY CRITTERS - Blesssingbourne House (Part 6)

I am continuing my posts from Blessingbourne House when I stayed there a few weeks ago and what better way to start the weekend for you than to show you the beautiful Peacocks that grace the grounds of this lovely estate. Last year when I stayed in one of their beautiful cottages, The Stabes, there were only 2 male Peacock however Colleen and Nick, the owners decided to purchase 2 females to keep them company and I am even hoping they will breed as I have never seen the young of Peacocks.  ENJOY.
