WEEKEND REFLECTIONS and THE WEEKEND ROUNDUP

Time for The Weekend Roundup and Weekend Reflections and this week the letter is H and Horse. This HORSE has a HALTER on it and the cow has HORNS.  Then I spied some cattle and a HORSE HUDDLED underneath a tree trying to keep cool. The Donkeys were HUGGING each other and one was shy and had HIS HEAD HIDDEN, HOWEVER we can see HIS HIND quarters as well as HIS HOOFS.

One day, I watched a female Blackbird feeding Her HUNGRY fledgling (above) as was the Robin feeding HER HUNGRY fledgling.(below).

SATURDAY CRITTERS - Rathlin Island (Part 6)

This is the penultimate post from the Rathlin Island series and in it I am showing you a variety of Critters I found that day on the island.  Below is a Linnet, followed by cows and sheep I saw from the bus on my way to The Stacks at the West Lighthouse.

There were quite a number of Meadow Pipit and this Pigeon 

below was actually at The Stacks.

The bus man was a real laugh and when we arrived at The Stacks,

he turned into a 'human' Puffin!  The 6 images below are real Puffins.

Donkeys and more cows.

This looks quite an old dog and was on the crossing back to the mainland.

Good Fences - Oxford Island

This is post is really a twin to go with the other post I did earlier today regarding Oxford Island so I hope you will have a look at what I found with my bird class when we visited there at the end of March.  Below are all the fences/walkways I photographed that day to fit in with the  GOOD FENCES meme that Tex is hosting.

The area of water is Lough Neagh.  It is a largest freshwater lake in Northern Ireland, supplying forty percent of its water; the biggest on the island of Ireland, the biggest by area in the United Kingdom, and the biggest by area in the British Isles.

This is Oxford Island Discovery Centre.

This walkway/bridge above leads up to the Discovery centre.

Singing Donkeys!

Now yesterday I promised you a laugh today.  Let me put you in the picture.  Eileen and I came across the donkeys at Oxford Island that are keep there to keep the meadows in the right condition.  One of the donkeys that arrived started 'singing' and I videoed it.  Then the others appeared.  We left them to walk on further however on our way back 2 other people were feeding the donkeys and we asked them had they heard the donkey singing.  They said 'no' so I played the short clip of video I had taken and suddenly the donkey started again, we stared laughing and the little black donkey that was just a the fence beside us, tuned up.  I was laughing so much I didn't get that on video but the white one started again.  Anyhow I hope you find it as funny as we all did.  Enjoy video at end of post and have a great day.
