WILD BIRD WESNESDAY

I am delighted that a Blackcap now visits my garden every day along with lots of other garden birds. In this post we also see Goldfinch and Hosue Sparrows.  All photos are taken behind glass

WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY - Blackcap with yellow pollen- EXTRA

Last WBW I showed you a Blackcap in my garden but this week this is a Blackcap in Danny’s garden.  However this one has had its head in some plant probably a yellow Mahonia and got some of the pollen on its head.

WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY

This is a Blackcap that has spent the winter in my garden although I was only ever photograph him behind my window. My permanent Robin had a real dislike for him and would not let him stay in the garden while he was there.

Garden Birds

While having my breakfast a few weeks ago I thought I would video (through my window) the birds that came to my feeders.  All winter I have had this female Blackcap and I have enjoyed watching her in the garden.  For the previous few years there has been a male Blackcap which was quite aggressive to some of the smaller birds however she did not seem to be like the male. That day I only had the Sparrows (M & F), the Blackbirds (M & F), my Collared Doves and my friendly Robin.  I have a video at the end so just sit back and join me at breakfast time.
