These are Pale - bellied Brent geese which I thought would have left on their journey to Arctic Canada to start breeding.

These are Pale - bellied Brent geese grazing on grass along Seacliffe Road in Bangor in February and now most of them have flown back to their breeding grounds in Arctic Canada.

SATURDAY CRITTERS

These photographs were taken in December when I took my bird group to the Kinnegar Shore in Belfast.  We saw Eider ducks, Pale bellied Brent, Cormorant and a few gulls.

I am continuing this series with the photographs that were took on a day recently when I visited the National Trust Property of Mount Stewart, near Newtownards, Co Down. These photographs were taken just outside the property on the Lough and are Pintail and Shelduck as well as Pale bellied Brent geese.

I went down to check on my old caravan and  I photographed these birds.  Sorry for the quality for these images but this was the first time ever I saw Golden Plover in this area.  They are Golden Plover, Brent geese, Lapwing and Curlew

THROUGH MY LENS

Here in Northern Ireland lockdown has easied in so much as 6 people can meet outside but still with social distancing.  I am starting my Bird group and Walking group with this small number but you are very welcome to join us on our walks, albeit still 6' apart! These photographs were in Donaghadee and you can see the Lighthouse and the Lifeboat. The 2nd image is where there used to be a railway tract and there is also a old crane and a compass on this bollard. There are Brent geese, Turnstone, Rook, Song Thrush and Black Guillemot.
