I
am continuing my posts from Blessingbourne House when I stayed there a few
weeks ago and what better way to start the weekend for you than to show you the
beautiful Peacocks that grace the grounds of this lovely estate. Last year when I stayed in one of their beautiful cottages, The Stabes, there were only 2 male Peacock however Colleen and Nick, the owners decided to purchase 2 females to keep them company and I am even hoping they will breed as I have never seen the young of Peacocks. ENJOY.
I hope you enjoyed these delightful birds especially when the male showed us his glorious tail feathers.
I am linking this post with SATURDAY CRITTERS.
Many thanks for your visit and I appreciate all the comments you leave.
They really are incredible show offs aren't they? Beautiful though. And the subtle beauty of the peahens is under rated.
ReplyDeleteLovely set Margaret. Beautiful birds to look at when they are displaying.

ReplyDeleteUndeniably the tail display is amazing but what I find fascinating is the structure of the tail feathers itself. Which is beautifully demonstrated in the images
ReplyDeleteSo very lovely. One of my students gave me two peacock feathers once. I have no idea where they are now. But the amazingly beautiful birds.
