I am
continuing to show you photographs over 2 weeks when a small group of birders
and myself visited the WWT called Castle Espie in April. This is the beautiful African Comb duck.
I hope you enjoyed this post today.
Unfortunately I will not be commenting for a while due to a final
diagnosis of my shoulder problem - Parsonage Turner Syndrome which is
a rare condition and typing does not help the pain I am experiencing.
I appreciate your visit and comments.
Another beauty I did not know. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen one like that either. I wonder why they developed the comb...
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing.
ReplyDeleteMargaret, thank you for introducing me to another bird new to me. There are so many varieties of ducks, and this is a fine looking one.
ReplyDeleteJust read for first time about your shoulder problem. Ouch! Hope you get some relief from the pain. That's a strange name for a shoulder issue. Must be a story behind it.
ReplyDeleteWow, what an unusual duck! Do you know if there is a purpose for this comb?
ReplyDeleteI like the iridescence of the feathers.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice, unique little guy!
