SATURDAY CRITTERS - Tory island (Part 13 )

As promised to you earlier in the week, I would show you the Puffins I saw on Tory Island but be warned, it is Puffin over load.  The second shot shows you how faraway I was photographing from, so all the photos are cropped.  Enjoy.

I love these little fellows and now CLICK HERE if the video does not appear.
Anton, one of the islander came with me to see the Puffins.

I thought I would be able to finish posting from Tory Island this week however I still have photographs to show you so I will continue for a few more days next week.  I do hope you are still enjoying this series.

Thank you for faithfully visiting my blog and  I appreciate all the comments you leave on it.   Have a wonderful weekend.

  2. Great to see them. Have you used an art filter on these images? They look a bit painterly.

  6. They are such a stunning bird and very comical looking. Great images Margaret. That winch I asked about someone suggested to me the other day that it maybe a relic from the past when people used to collect seabirds and their eggs for food I'm not sure myself but sounds plausible.

  10. Wow! You were quite a distance away but brought us up close and personal with those lovely birds. The only time I have seen them was in Newfoundland on a whale cruise that took us to see the puffins and other birds on the rocks.

  13. My, my what personality this fellow has. I laughed when I saw him looking at the wall like he was in a "timeout" for bad behavior. Great catch of the open wings too.

  22. So cute! I like hearing you talk to Anton on the video.

I can't even get shots that sharp from the door to the suet feeder on the edge of the porch with my Canon G15 *sniff*. (It's good for macros though, and fits in a pants pocket.)
