Last month I took my bird class to Kiltonga Wildlife
Reserve and all this week I will be showing you photographs and video from our walk round
the lake so I hope you will join me. We discovered
a new sculpture in the water of a beautiful Swan and the Coot seems to have
taken up residence around it.
Female Mallard with her duckling which you will see
better on the video at the end of this post.
The next few images are of views from different places
as we walked round. Everything had very
lush greenery and the Cuckooflower and Queen Anne's Lace were in full bloom. The last shot is a Grey Heron.

There will be many more photographs of birds in tomorrow’s post. However, I hope you enjoyed our walk today and thanks for joining me.
Also many thanks to those who kindly leave comments.

ReplyDeleteHi Margaret. What a beautiful reserve. The sculpture is very regal looking. I loved hearing your voice describing the area and birds. Thanks for sharing. Jo

ReplyDeleteI echo Jo's sentiment on the video. Maybe it's the accent (which of course you don't have, right?) ; ) Accent or no, you have a lovely voice and the photos were nice. I like the mama wood duck.

ReplyDeleteHi Margaret, Our paths cross once again.I have followed you on Youtube for a few years now. I was over at Kiltonga today and was amazed to see quite a few pairs of Gadwall duck. Naturally I filmed them and put the short film on Youtube. Surprisingly there are lots of Shoveler about too! I was interested in the swan sculpture too and wonder who made it.
