I am now continuing my post about Tory Island and this week (and perhaps next) we are walking
to the other side of the island where it is less flat. This is the harbour opposite the only hotel and as you can see, the waters are calmer than the previous day when I made my way over here.
Not good shots but these were two of the Chough I saw
while on Tory Island.
I think this flower is Cuckooflower also known as Lady’s
Smock. Can someone confirm please.
These next images are of different views as I climbed
higher and I felt as if I was on the top of the world and no one else in sight. The harbour is not used nowadays. There were many nesting birds which I will show you some tomorrow and more later on in the week.
Black Guillemot on pier.
I
hope you enjoyed seeing the different terrain that this part of the island has.
On Wednesday I will show you a video of this area.
Sorry I am out of action for a few days to do any commenting but I have scheduled posts for you to enjoy.

Pop in tomorrow to see some of the birds I saw on the island.

ReplyDeleteFor a smallish island it seems to have a great variety of habitats and landscapes. I'm curious to know what that red winch looking device was/is used for
