WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY - Birds in Ward Park (Part 1)

Last Sunday, when I was crossing Ward Park from having lunch at my brother’s house, I came upon, 'Jazz in the Park' so I sat down on the deckchairs provided for a hour to listen to it. (I will show you that tomorrow with video.)  Today, as I continued to walk home, these are the few birds I photographed.

Moorhen

Black headed Gulls (adult above, young one below)

Feral Pigeon

Mallard - female

These naughty Guinea Fowl cannot read the sign
on the ground that they are sleeping in a ‘Disabled’ zone!  But then perhaps they are smarter than I think becasue the Lilbrary, where the sign is, is closed  today!!

I know these are my usual birds I always see as I walk through the park however I never tire of seeing them and I always count the wild Guinea fowl to know none of them have ‘disappeared’!

I am linking this post with WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY.

Tomorrow, I will show you the faces I saw at ‘Jazz in the Park’ and also let you hear them play.

So until then, thanks for visiting and also to those who leave comments.

  15. We have a flock of wild Guinea Foul or at least we did ... I haven't seen them at all this year. I don't know if something happened to them or if they have just moved to a new location. I don't believe I have ever seen white ones though ... all that we have here are the darker ones. All of your pictures are awesome and the female mallard is sure giving herself a vigorous cleaning ... almost looks like it would hurt, ha! Nice post, Margaret ...
