Tory Island (Part 15)

I still have a few more days of photographs from Tory Island to show you and below is Anton that you you heard on the video on Saturday when he took me in this car to see the Puffins.  It was on its last legs, literally and I have never heard a car make such a noise and even Anton hoped we would make it back to the hotel which is the yellow building behind.  




 This is the ferry we cross on from the Donegal mainland to Tory island and there is a short video at the end showing that and these are three birding friends who were spending going to spend a day on the island.  



These are  2 views I shot as I was standing on the pier waiting for the ferry to arrive.  The tall building is the last standing round tower in Ireland and which I showed in a previous post that you can find from this link HERE.


There were always birds feeding on the seaweed on the beach and below is a Meadow Pipit, Common Gull and Oystercatcher.

    Many beautiful birds Margaret. The Oystercatcher's red eyes are extremely interesting. Your description of the car made me smile. I once had a car where I always wondered if it was going to get me from A to B.

    That car reminds me of some of the 'taxis' I have seen on islands all over the world! They must relax the rules for such places!
