promised to you earlier in the week, I would show you the Puffins I saw on Tory
Island but be warned, it is Puffin over load. The second shot shows you how faraway I was photographing from, so all the photos are cropped. Enjoy.

I thought I would be able to finish posting from Tory Island this week however I still have photographs to show you so I will continue for a few more days next week. I do hope you are still enjoying this series.

ReplyDeleteThey are such a stunning bird and very comical looking. Great images Margaret. That winch I asked about someone suggested to me the other day that it maybe a relic from the past when people used to collect seabirds and their eggs for food I'm not sure myself but sounds plausible.

ReplyDeleteWow! You were quite a distance away but brought us up close and personal with those lovely birds. The only time I have seen them was in Newfoundland on a whale cruise that took us to see the puffins and other birds on the rocks.

ReplyDeleteI can't even get shots that sharp from the door to the suet feeder on the edge of the porch with my Canon G15 *sniff*. (It's good for macros though, and fits in a pants pocket.)
