White Park Bay - Ringed Plover

Today, like yesterday I am on White Park Bay beach and I am showing you a few more photographs of the Ringed Plovers that I saw and at the end is a short video of them, some clips are in slow motion. I am afraid the shots are all cropped as I did not want to get too close to them.

The second clip in the video is a slow motion of the first normal clip and then the 3rd click is another slow motion clip.  You might be very surprised to see how this wader moves.

You can access the video at

If there is a black space below, click it and the video will appear.

The rest of the day was spent making my way over to a small town about 10 minutes from the ferry, that the following day would take me over to Tory Island.  So believe it or not, I did not take any photographs that day!

However, I have a lovely meal at the hotel I was staying at and an early night so that I would be fresh for the journey over to Tory Island.

I am linking this post with WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY.

Thank you for visiting.

Many thanks for leaving comments on any of my posts.

  1. Magnificent coastline and so different from anything around here. The Plovers are beautiful and it is very interesting to see them in slow motion.

  14. What cute birds. We have plovers here in New Zealand but they stay in the paddocks so I don't get very close for photos.
