“Was it through your know-how that the hawk
learned to fly, soaring effortlessly on thermal updrafts?
Did you command the
eagle’s flight, and teach her to build her nest in the heights, perfectly at
home on the high cliff face, invulnerable on pinnacle and crag?
From her perch
she searches for prey, spies it at a great distance. Her young gorge themselves
on carrion; wherever there’s a road kill, you’ll see her circling.”
Job

thanks for leaving comments on any of my posts.
It's natures way hey Margaret.. It's a tough world out there!
ReplyDeleteAppropriate quotation for the photo! I feel closest to God when I examine the perfect design and rhythms of nature. The forest and oceans are my church that I spend a good few hours in every Sunday! :)
ReplyDelete....these are quite different than the Crested Caracara of Old Mexico!! Love your use of biblical quotes.
ReplyDeleteps....thanks for visiting and taking time to leave a comment at Hootin' Anni's too.
Deletewe get those carrion-loving birds here in texas, too. :)
ReplyDeleteThere is a reason for it all! Great photo!
ReplyDeleteGod's speech to Job, I have always loved that verse! The Caracara is guarding the fox for himself, now I wonder if he will be able to carry it off?
ReplyDeleteThe crested caracara is such a neat bird! We have them here in south Texas. They are interesting in that they will also kill their own food, unlike most carrion birds of prey that will only eat dead meat. Ours don't seem to have as much black, they are sometime mistaken for bald eagles (although not as big) because of their white heads. Excellent scripture pairing!
ReplyDeletewhat a great image. shows life doesn't go to waste. love how you match biblical verse to your photos so effortlessly... have a great day~
ReplyDeleteExcellent image. I love the quotes also. MB
