This is the final post from Tory Island featuring the
Puffins I saw am linking it with WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY . I saw all of them from the high cliffs you
have previously seen on the videos and the ones in the water area unfortunately
very small. I have a short video at the
end, a bit shaky however it was the best I could get as I was on my tummy very
near the cliff edge!!! I suggest you put
it into slide mode and enjoy.
You can access the video at
If there is a black space below, click it and the video
will appear.

I hope you enjoyed seeing not only the Puffins on this
post but also the magnificent scenery and birds of Tory Island on many of
the previous posts over the past fortnight.
Thanking you for visiting.
Many thanks for comments you have left on any of my
posts.
Love your puffins and admire your courage in going sooooo close to the edge. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see them. I hope I can get half as close.

Beautiful photos Margaret - puffins are such special little birds (I've only ever seen them once but it was a real red-letter day :) ) and your photos took me back to that moment - thank you :)

ReplyDeleteI love Puffin! They are so cute and sweet looking.
Norway has the second largest puffin population, with several large colonies.

lovely images of the waterfowl. Love puffins, Theyare cool. We saw a lot of them in Iceland but only from the whaling boat. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Puffin shots are wonderful Margaret. And I think you were very brave and determined in getting such photos too.
ReplyDeleteadorable little cuties!!!
ReplyDeleteYay, puffins! My daughter and I both are so enamored with these critters. Wonderful images.
ReplyDeleteLovely birds Margaret.
ReplyDeleteThey suffered terribly in the storms back in February unfortunately.
They are such wonderful little birds! Love the one stretching his wings!
ReplyDeleteWe're going after the Atlantic Puffin next week! Thanks for sharing. These birds face some huge issues with climate change and their food distribution. There are certain kinds of fish they use to feed their young but they aren't finding them in the areas that they normally would(because the water is heating up and the fish route has changed) Therefore, they are feeding their young bigger fish that the younger ones can't consume. At least this is the story of the Atlantic Puffin. Thanks for sharing! Chris
ReplyDeleteThey are awesome, and the cliffs are beautiful. You really laid on your stomach on the edge of a cliff? Wow, the things bloggers will do for a post, I have done some pretty scary things myself. Things I would never do if I did not blog.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this lovely treat.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures and the subjects are beautiful.
Peace :)
