While taking a walk round the reservoir at Conlig, near Bangor, I spied these eggs on a floating nest and they belonged to this Little Grebe. There were also a Mallard with her three chicks.

Love that floating nest, and hope that all of the eggs hatch. And thrive.
ReplyDeleteLove mallard ducklings!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteLove the cute ducklings, great photos!
Have a happy day and week ahead.
Never seen a floating nest. Wow!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see the Grebe, but these eggs seem late in the season. The Mallard with chicks looks fine.
ReplyDeleteThat nest looks rather precarious . I guess they know what works for them.
ReplyDeleteA floating nest, wow, i didn't know there were any birds that built floating nests. The more you learn, the more there is to learn.
ReplyDeleteSweet ducklings, i hope they are doing well.
The grebe is handsome, and the baby ducks are so sweet.
