Mount Stewart House and Gardens

Following on from the last 2 posts about Mount Stewart I am showing you some of the flowers I found on my walk which include Azalea, Rhododendron, Hellebores, Camelia and at the end of the post you will see the Irish harp and Red Hand of Ulster.  This side of the house overlooks one of the gardens.

Forsythia

 Magnolia Kobus

 Lathraea clandestina or Purple Toothwort

I hope you enjoyed seeing the plants that were blooming at Mount Stewart this April.  Many thanks for visiting and also to those who leave comments.

  1. Love the quirkiness of the last design, Margaret. And every other image is stunningly beautiful. All exotics in our country. Thanks for your continued visits to and comments on my blog. I've been involved with the "knitta-thon" and we also have regular power outages and I cannot log on! Blessings Jo

  6. Lovely. The hyacinths were so loaded that some were laying down or were they heavy with rainwater?

  10. It's root is covered with tooth-like scales, hence the name Toothwort. Forget to mention that I love the bonus of the bee!!
