GOOD FENCES - Israel Visited (Part 5)

I don’t think this post needs much explanation as Jerusalem is filled with walls and fits in well with Tex's meme - GOOD FENCES.

The Western Wall, Wailing Wall is located in the Old City of Jerusalem. It is a relatively small western segment of the walls surrounding the area called the Temple Mount (or Har Habayit) by Jews, Christians and most Western sources and is where all ‘peoples’ come to pray.

a time of prayer to God at the Weeping Wall.

I hoped you enjoyed this post.

Thanks for visiting.

Many thanks for all the comments you leave on my post.

  1. Hi Margaret, the trellis work, the old walls and the surrounding buildings are so surreal to me. Especially when I see the Orthodox Jews mingling with tourists. The area around the Weeping Wall is so clean! Happy and blessed Passover to you, my friend. I'm glad to have met you here on Blogger. Jo

  6. I haven't been there yet, one of my high school friends is there now, or on her way back. I have other friends that have been there, one who was born there, and it's quite an experience I've been told. Your photos are just a beautiful page in their life. Thank you for sharing this, it seems I learn so much the more I visit there through photos and descriptions. The weeping wall is such an experience too.

  25. Is the weeping wall the same as the wailing wall? Our grandson's name {Tucker} has been placed on the wailing wall by a precious person that was praying for his healing. Very interesting...
