WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY - Ailsa Craig (Part 15 and final post!) - Gannet

I started posting photographs, videos and telling you about Ailsa Craig Island over the past 2 weeks, (actually 15 posts), by showing you the Gannets at this fabulous bird sanctuary and today I think it is fitting to finish with showing you one of the last Gannets I saw along with thousands of Gannets seen in the air.

Before seeing the video below, I have left a clip in it that is out of focus but it will give you an idea what it was like to do any photography or video on a moving boat, in a very small confined area with a mist hanging over you!

CLICK HERE if the video does not appear below.

I appreciate all who followed the complete series of 15 posts and I hope I have given you a sense of the wonder at seeing this fantastic breeding island for all these birds.  I know some will have not been able to see all the videos due to being sea sick.

I have not had time to make a B & W post for some time so I will remedy that for you tomorrow as I know some bloggers requested I show more B & W photogaphs.

I am linking with WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY.

Many thanks for all your comments over this series.

  2. It's fascinating wildlife for sure. Love the rugged cliffs in the video with so many birds sitting there and flying around it. The fog adds a special touch.
