SATURDAY CRITTERS - Ailsa Craig Island (Part 5)

I photographed these Alpaca on my way to Cushendall and I thought you would like to see them before we get on the boat tomorrow.  Remember your seasick pills although none of us took any and were OK.

I don't think I personally have ever seen Alpaca in Northern Ireland so this was a first for me.  I hope you enjoyed seeing them also.

I am linking this post with SATURDAY CRITTERS.

Many thanks for you visit and also to all those who leave comments.

  1. I do love alpaca. Their faces are charming.
I am very, very prone to motion sickness. Not helped by the fact I cannot take any of the usual medications to relieve it....

  3. Alpacas are a rarity in N.I. though I have seen their cousins, the llamas! They are cute but I wouldn't get too close in case they spit!
    Enjoy your day

  5. Alpacas are lovely animals with a gentle temperament!
The first pair of booties I bought for my granddaughter 12 years ago were knitted in alpaca fibre and so soft and warm.

  12. They look a bit perturbed to be photographed after being so recently shorn of their wool.

  20. Those babies looks so naked - but I suppose that's okay in the summer.
Kinda like how Shaggy (my Bobtail) was when we would shave him for summer.
    Great finds and snaps!
    Have a Beautiful Day!
    Peace :)

  21. Such a funny expression on the first one's face, and I love the green lips! The other one has them too, it must be from the grass. They are beautiful animals.

  22. Love alpacas. First saw them in Peru many years ago. They are so gentle and their hair so soft for sweaters and rugs, etc.
