I was not bird watching when I was in Israel so these
are the only birds I was able to photograph.
I do not know the name of them all so if anyone can tell me the missing
ID’s I would be grateful.
Tristram
Starling (Thanks Douglas for ID)
Some species of Dove, possibly (Laughing)
Hoopoe
Tomorrow I will show you some of the places we visited and the amazing old architecture in Israel.
I am linking this post with WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY.
Thank you for visiting and also to those who leave comments.
The one in your hand looks like a Tristram Starling though I might've spelt it wrong. The Dove looks like a Laughing Dove
ReplyDeleteHi Diouglas Thanks you for the first bird ID. I have looked that up now and indeed that is what it is. I should know what the chick was as I was told at the time but 8 years ago is now a long time to remember!!.
DeleteI love Hoopoes! And that first bird is a friendly little fellow! It looks kind of like a Chough of some sort?
ReplyDeleteHi Margaret, beautiful images of the different birds.
ReplyDeleteI love the first picture, the bird in the hand, that you don't often make with it.
Well, I would have been able to help with the Hoopoe - but I reckon you knew that one!!
ReplyDeleteNice shots.
