SATURDAY CRITTERS - Birds at Island Marina, I.O.W.

Over the last couple of days I have shown you photos from a walk I did at Island Marina, however today I am showing you some birds I saw along the way.

There were quite a number of Redwing in the trees.

A lovely little family of Long tailed Tits were feeding in the trees.

Blue Tit

Wigeon and Redshank

Black tailed Godwit

A black cat was sunning itself.

Mallards that were being feed and you will see that on the video below.

CLICK HERE if the video does not appear below.

I hope, over the past 3 days you have enjoyed seeing what photographs I took on my walk at the Island Marina.

Many thanks for visiting and also to those who leave comments.

  5. Hi Margaret, wonderful post of critters, I love the black cat! And your Black-tailed Godwit is a neararctic vagrant in Africa and I would LOVE to see one. I posted a link to your blog on my post today and also answered your question about the sunbird in my Friday post! Hope you're enjoying your weekend. Blessings Jo

  6. Little grebes are the daftest birds, like an overly buoyant rubber duck in the bath, bobbing along. How they can dive is a mystery to me!

  7. I hope the black pussy wasn't eyeing off the beautiful birds

  9. Lovely series.......long tailed tits can be quite difficult to spot. They come to our feeder at this time of year but flit off at the first sign of movement.

    Happy weekend!

  15. Do Long Tail Tits always hang up side down. I did chuckle when I say that. All the birds are wonderful and your Duck feeding video was really cute ... except maybe Mr. Swan playing rough. They can be bullies, but he did deserve his share anyway. Hope the one little Mallard made it up close enough to get a bite. Great fun, Margaret.

  21. Hi Margaret,
Lovely photos, particularly the Blue Tit. Such intense colors.
I did not know our Black Kitty traveled so far away. We though he only went around the neighborhood :)
Glad to note that your order of Blue Skies has been delivered also :)

    Have a Super Day!

Meanwhile I am delighted with today's images and the video... poor swan... it wasn't easy to get a bit of bread...
    Have a great sunday, Margaret
