WBW - 2nd Anniversary Blog - Video of Weaver building a nest

I cannot believe it is 2 year since I started blogging and I have learned so much and found so many interesting friends.  Last year there were 117 countries following, this year that are 146, I have published 366 posts this year and now have just over 200,399 page views on blogger alone.  I have learned more about how Google + works, thanks to members helping me and  I have now posted some extra shots on there and seem to have gained quite a number of followers there also. As I have been showing you the Weaver bird recently (and there is more to come), today I am sharing a YouTube video of a Weaver building its nest from scratch.  Enjoy.

CLICK HERE if the video does not appear.

For me these birds are amazing, how they painstakingly manage to weave the material into making their nests.  All Weaver build different types of nests.

I would like to say to all the people who view my Blog, whether it is on Blogger, Google + or Facebook, that I really very much appreciate all the comments you  leave me.  I know others view it and do not leave comments and I appreciate their regular visits also.  Thanks to the film makers of this video.

I have my own video of a Weaver building his nest and will show you that on next Saturday Critters.

I hope you have enjoyed this video and I hope you all have a wonderful day.

  1. Happy anniversary! The weaving is incredible. To me, it must be something God has put inside these birds...the knowledge and ability to do this.

  17. Amazing is quite the right word for it. I know that it is done by instinct, but so intricate and complicated. I can't even imagine that being passed along on a genome. I am really impressed ... Thank you, Margaret, this is quite a treat.
