Time for Weekend Reflections and The Weekend Roundup and the letter is X and eXciting. As you probably know I walk along the Ballyholme area of my town and have done so for over 70 years and found it very EXCITING when I noticed for the first time these 4 “X’s”. Then I saw this boat in the harbour with the name EXCELLION and my REFLECTION image is of a Black headed gull on a buoy at the Long Hole, Bangor.
I hope you enjoyed this post today.
I appreciate your
visit and comments.
The water is so blue! What is the purpose of these X's?
ReplyDeleteThey are at the end of the breakwater Ginny
DeleteThey look like the non-automatic railroad crossing signs on less traveled routes here-- and that does make them look a bit odd to me. I like the Gull.
ReplyDeleteI wonder just what spot X is marking. I saw your explanation but prefer to think of treasure...
ReplyDeleteHello Margaret,
ReplyDeleteGreat reflections, I love the gull! Take care, have a happy weekend!
Awesome clicks
ReplyDeleteI do like your harbor photos. The sailboat looks like great fun, and your seagull has a good reflection.
ReplyDeleteYou always manage to find interesting pictures for the prompts.
ReplyDeleteSoon, we'll be reflecting on a new year!
ReplyDeleteNice shots! Looks like a great place to walk.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and a wonderful blue sea :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful reflection.
ReplyDeleteBill said what i was thinking, they look a lot like the railroad crossing signs, but of course nowhere near a railroad.
ReplyDeleteWonderful X pictures, i know that letter can take some ingenuity.
Margaret. I love your first picture, the water and the white houses with red roofs all together make it for me to be sooo pretty. The X's are an eXtra bit. The dove is great too, ours here are brownish gray.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice Holiday and fro Texas,
HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS
..
...Margaret, for the difficult letter "X" you did a GREAT job! Keep enjoying you walks and take care.
ReplyDeleteWOW you did score on those Xs. It's funny, after I scheduled my X post I came across two Xs when I was out. Thought about using them but decided to save them for next round.
ReplyDeleteI see you are off to the Isle of Wright for the holidays, enjoy.
We will be following the guidelines and staying home.
