This photograph was taken by my birding friend Danny and this is what he says about it. I call it "the Sunset of the Earth". For those of you interested this is the ultimate sunset- a total lunar eclipse. Sunlight is refracted by the earth's atmosphere and the blue component is scattered away by the air molecules and small dust particles more than the orange and red light. The result - during totality we get the "Blood Red Moon" - a truly amazing sight...
The same effect
causes the red sky at night or morning.
Thank you Danny for
sharing this super photo with us.

Red and Green. This is my CHRISTMAS greeting to everyone who view this post and the bird is a RED Robin followed by a RED and GREEN Skimmia shrub. The final 2 are REFLECTIONS shots, the first one was taken at the National Trust Property Mount Stewart earlier in the year adn the last shot was taken of this RED van in a car park on the Isle of Wight.

I
was helping my son in law with his work and he decided to take me out to lunch and we found this Daddy
Reindeer outside looking for his 5 youngsters. When we entered the pub we could
see that they were there and 2 of them we thought had had too much to drink by
the look of things!!!

These
photographs were taken by a lady who lives
in Australia and she was to go birding with me in Northern Ireland this year
however due to circumstances, that did not take place however we have kept in
contact and she has kindly sent me some Australian bird images and has given me
permission to share them with you. They
are Black faced Monarch, Brown Cuckoo Dove, Regent Bowerbird and White winged Fairy Wren.

After the sun had set, people with all kinds of
diseases were brought to Jesus. He put his hands on each one of them and healed

Time
for Weekend Reflections and The Weekend Roundup and the letter is Y and Yellow.
On my walk to Bangor Harbour I passed the YOGURT tree café. On reaching the Marina I saw these 3 YELLOW buoys in the rib and at the harbour I photogrphed these YELLOW handrails and found one with a puddle giving me a great REFLECTION image.
