Time for The Weekend Roundup and Weekend Reflections. This week the letter is L
and Lonely. The first three images illustrate LONELY. The first is my FAVOURITE and was taken in
Scotland, the second image was taken at Quarr Abbey, near Ryde on the Isle of Wight. One man in the abbey. The third is my grandson sitting on a beach in Africa.
These are beautiful images!
ReplyDeleteLove that first image - but she doesn't look lonely in the slightest. Which is lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove the church!
ReplyDeleteScotland has some very nice beaches. Shame about the weather though..........
ReplyDeleteThe Quaar Abby photo is gorgeous, as are the Lupines! You have really captured loneliness well. Love the reflection of the big ship!
ReplyDeleteSometimes being alone isn't lonely. When we went fishing in our small boat in Johnstone Strait here in Coastal BC we saw several huge cruise ships heading for the narrows at slack tide. It is on the Inside Passage between Alaska and Vancouver. Even huge ships like that won't chance going through the passage except at slack tide. - Margy
ReplyDeleteThose were lonely settings indeed, Margaret. I would love to stow away on your ship find, I know it will go to some very interesting places. Nice reflection too. Have a nice weekend.

Each photo is a great presentation of the prompts.
ReplyDeletegreat reflection!
ReplyDelete...Margaret, such 'L'ovely 'L's! My favorite is number 3! 'L'upines are always a favorite and ships reflection is great. Thanks for your visit, enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteThe folks in your "Lonely" pictures, sure do look lonely! I love lupines. Here in New Hampshire, there is an annual Lupine Festival every year in the quaint little town of Sugar Hill, NH. Your photo of the lupine is beautiful. Enjoy your week, Margaret.
