Amazing, intimate portrait of this raptor. This Bible quote was the basis of a fundamentalist hymn in the U.S. south, and that lead Roy Acuff in the mid-1930s to write a folk song called The Great Speckled Bird. This song was later recorded by Johnny Cash and Kitty Wells in the 1950s, and then many other singers. It is a catchy tune.
