  9. This is a wonderful collection of photos, each a prize in its own right. Do I have a favorite? Yes, two actually. I love your face on shot of the Puffin because it reminds me of our time in northern Scotland, and your B&W shot of the weir with that terrific reflection.

  15. Excellent photos - so sharp and well composed. I'm not a birder, so my favorite is Lagan Weir. I like the way it almost looks abstract, with the shine and reflections.

  17. Your Grey Heron looks just like the Great Blue Herons we have here in the United States. Very difficult to pick a favorite, all are lovely photos!
The simplicity of the Reservoir outside Belfast really appeals to me.

  18. Me fascinaron los colores del pato mandarín :)
Y sobre todo la de la niña, porque no hay nada más sincero y bonito que la sonrisa de un niño.
    ¡Maravillosas fotografías!

  25. These are amazing shots, Margaret. The Mandarin Duck is exquisite, he almost doesn't look real, but like something painted.
I'm also captivated by the photo of the reflection under the bridge - at first glance it almost appeared an abstract.. Just a fantastic scene, so vivid and interesting!!

  26. Spoilt for choice! The Mandarin Duck is stunning ~ just a beautiful shot, as they all are! The head on encounter with the Puffin was another fantastic shot... such detail and clarity. Who could not be enamoured with that sweet smile of the little girl? You have captured the silent stealthy movement of the Grey Heron. They are such patient birds, before the sudden dive for food. I also admired the photo of the reflection. A most wonderful selection of excellent photography!

  28. Great photos!
Hard to choose. I am very fond of ducks (pleasant, likeable birds), and the Mandarin Duck is smashing! But the Puffin is a favorite and a most interesting bird, also nesting here in Norway.
