My
friends and myself left Johannesburg and headed for Kruger National Park
however as it was a long way off, we
stopped at a restaurant and had a picnic. While there, I went behind the restaurant
and found an unusual sight. I gave you a
little glimpse last Sunday of what I found but here are more photographs of
Ostrich, Rhinoceros and a few Egyptian Geese.
My
friends, who had visited this restaurant many times before, never knew of this
area with these animals behind it.
I hope you enjoyed seeing these animals in this unusual setting.
Thanks
for your visit and also to all those who
leave me comments.
Oh my! What a gorgeous area and congratulations on all the sightings!
ReplyDeleteI really like those wide open spaces you show us.

Wow, now THAT'S Africa! To duck out behind a restaurant and see a vast plain with ostrich and rhino must be very special.
ReplyDeleteOh what a find. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteHello Margaret, it is like a mini safari there. I love all the animals. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteDid those rhinos belong to someone? or are they running wild? I'm surprised too by how dry it looks. Thanks for all the neat photos you share.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see these animals. The rhinos look like they are enjoying a bit of shade in the middle of the day. I'm sure the water draws many animals.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful find! I love the rhinos taking a nap in the shade! :-)
ReplyDeleteAn Ostrich! How unexpected!
ReplyDeleteI think that's wonderful - people just going about their lives, having a bite to eat at the restaurant while there is all that going on so close - thank you for sharing - I hope to visit places like this some time in my life
ReplyDeleteit is lovely to see the rhinos had shelter from the sun :-)
ReplyDeleteWow. This is amazing! :-)
