Tilly steps on a boat for the first time.

Last Saturday while I was still on the I.O.W. my grandson, Matthew was taking an all-day dingy sailing course so we walked down to the Yacht club with Tilly to see him off.

I know it was only a couple of days that I showed you Tilly, however I am now home and this video was taken after I made the previous one so I thought I would show you it now.  The trainer said that Tilly should be exposed to as many new things as possible so as my family all sail, we thought we would see how she could handle the motion of a boat.  Although it was not rough, the boat was rocking.  She didn't seem to mind at all.

These are a few stills and the main action is in the video at the end of this post.

Matthew is in the dingy on the left.  There was not wind however there were only 2 on the course and so they had wonderful near one to one tuition.

My son in law, Chris made Tilly walk on and off the boat  many times and she seems to be very happy doing that.

Watch this short video to see how she managed and it can be accessed at

I hope you enjoyed this post.  Thursday I will show you the photographs I shot on the walk to and from the Yacht club.  Tomorrow I am back to showing you an Australian bird.

Thank you for visiting and also for leaving comments.

  6. I enjoyed both the video and your photos. It looks as if Tilly will be right at home on a boat.
