Sunset at Kinnegar

Finally, from picking up the lost picnic basket up at the police station early in the morning until the setting of the sun, it is 6 posts, 53 bird species seen and 11 1/2 hours later and that is only Eileen's 2nd day's birding.
While approaching Belfast on our way home, I drove round to show her the Titanic building.  It is a very impressive building as is the tour inside.  We said we would visit it if it rained however it didn't.  I have done the tour when it opened and it is absolutely marvellous.
Now here is where you get your cup of tea/coffee, sit back, put the photos into slide mode and enjoy.  See if you can see the 2 largest cranes in the world, Samson and Goliath against the sunset and the birds on the beach.

I hope you enjoyed your refreshments and the slide show.

Thank you for visiting and also for leaving
comments on any of my blogs.

Tomorrow I will be showing you what birds I found at
Kiltonga Nature Reserve
when I took my bird group out last Monday.

    1. HI Andrew Glad you enjoyed the images and you are right, this part of the shore is just before the ESPB reserve so I always stop here to see what is around. Over the road is also a small lake and round the back is a place where you find butterflies in summer. Glad you liked the Titanic building also adn many thanks for your comments. Hope your health keeps improving.

  11. Hi Margaret. Our Amish friends brought us a woodworking project we had commissioned them to make for us. For them, it was much more interesting to see 'an English' home and eat with 'an English' family, something they never do. Thanks for stopping in. I'm sorry, but I had no other way to respond to your comment on my blog post.

  12. Yes, it would be interesting, for sure, to be in their homes. Actually, this past summer we were invited into one of their homes and one of their barns. The home was in transition between occupants. It was small but perfectly organized, lots of built-in closets, beautiful hardwood floors, and a great mud room, and beautiful kitchen cabinets. When we lived in Lancaster County, PA, we were invited by the Amish there to bring our children to visit their school, which we did. That was VERY interesting! :-)

  21. What a beautiful sunset! And I do see Samson and Goliath if they are flying! The building is wonderful and unique. I have never seen one like it and I am guessing that it is the only one like this.

    1. HI Ginny Glad you iked the sunset. No samson and Golith are not flying. They arein 3 shots but no 6 from the bottom have the clearest views. The Titanic is a one of building. The shape mirrows the bow of the Titanic ship.

I loved the glow in the water - like a river of golden goodness.
The building is very futuristic looking like something out of a sci-fi movie.
I see your reply to Ginny. I wondered if what I was looking at in photo #6 was the cranes. They must be really large. :)

    1. HI Carletta Yes you are correct. The cranes are in the 6th photo from the bottom and you are right, they are the biggest in the world and are enormous. Glad you liked the Titanic building and the sunset. Thanks for comments.
