Swans at Castle Espie

I have spent the last 2 days birding with Eileen which I will tell you about in a later post after she has gone home.  We were out and about birding for 11 1/2 hours today and I am exhausted!  These Mute Swans were seen at Castle Espie and Eileen wants to go there again today so no doubt later on I will have more photos etc to show you from there.  I saw and watched these beautiful Swans at close quarters for quite a while and at the end I have a short video of them.   Yesterday we saw the first Whooper Swans fly into Northern Ireland although much to far away to photograph.
Sit back and  enjoy these Mute Swans.

You can access the video at

Many thanks for visiting my blog today and I hope you have enjoyed the Swans.

I appreciate all those people who have left comments on any of my blogs today.
Lynn asked if the mushrooms were eatable, I don't know and also if the Swans are mute and they are not.

I am linking this post to The Bird D'pot.

  1. Superb birds....A pity about the Whoopers. I enjoy hearing Swans do something other than hiss.
