ReplyDeleteWonderful birds to see Margaret and I am lucky to live close Chester Zoo and not too far from Martin Mere WWT where I can see them. Fantastic images.
ReplyDeleteThey are incredible aren't they? My partner saw a flock in the wild and still raves about it many years later. (And I am still jealous.)
ReplyDeleteYou had a beautiful day for your photography Margaret and you came away with some beautiful photographs.
ReplyDeleteSo many of them, and all such a deep and beautiful color! Guess they have very good food to eat, I have seen some that are hardly even pink, depends on what they eat I am told. In the second picture, what are those little mounds? Are they nests? Or maybe just rocks?
ReplyDeleteIt is very nice seeing this bird like this. So colorful and even better in the low sun.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a lot of flamingos! I love the composition of the first photo.

ReplyDeleteI happen to love flamingos. I've only seen them in person twice in my life but they just appeal to me. One year without knowing it both kids gave me the same birthday card with a flamingo on it.
Wonderful shots!
