New girl on the blog!

Well this is my first ever post.  It has taken me some time to work out to even make this blog but I decided that this was the year of 'firsts' and I am going to persevere.  This is certainly a first for me!  No doubt I will learn a lot as I go along.  
I take a bird class within a worldwide organisation called U3A (University of the Third Age) and we are meeting tomorrow to go bird watching in the morning.  So perhaps tomorrow I will be able to tell you what birds we saw.  I hope I will learn how to put photos on the site as I like photography as well as birds.  By the way, U3A is an organisation for anyone who is NOT in full time employment. Our web site is www.ndau3a.com and we have nearly 1000 members and between 70-80 different groups.  It is a wonderful organisation and the site is certainly worth a visit.
I have just tried to upload one of my photos but I do not know where it has gone.  'Ah' well! I suppose I will get a handle on this - sometime!!!
