Time
again for The Weekend Roundup and Weekend Reflections. This week the letter is D, favourite and Details. Now since Tom started this meme, I have tried
to take all my photographs from one of my walks and although all of the
photographs are from the same day in this post, they were taken from a moving
train. So hop aboard and come with me and
see what we can find. Ah we are on the train to DERRY/Londonderry.
There
are quite a number of REFLECTION images.
I saw a DIGGER, DIGGING DIRT.
I was amazed to see the cygnet still with these Mute Swan parents.
Obviously
this is the inside of the train and this is the DESIGN of the seat and below is
a DETAIL of the fabric followed my a DETAIL of a fence.
D
for DORITOS.
Although
the train was travelling quite fast, when it got to a part of the journey were I
could see the sea, I was able to ID lots of waders, ducks and geese, Little Egret
and Heron but they were quite a distance away and so was unable to photograph them. I was pleased
to see the Whooper Swans with some young and I think these black and white birds below are Pale bellied Brent.
This
is a DERELICT building and below that image are a number of varieties of DUCKS.
Many
thanks for visiting and also for leaving comments.
A lovely set of imaginative images Margaret - have a good weekend.

ReplyDeleteI love the clouds reflected in the water. Very pretty.
ReplyDelete...a 'D'elightful collection of 'D's, Margaret! Among my favorite are, a 'D'IGGER, 'D'IGGING 'D'IRT, a 'D'ETAIL of a fence, a 'D'ERELICT building and of course the number of varieties of 'D'UCKS. Thanks Margaret for joining in this week, I hope to see again.
ReplyDelete.
Lots of good D's for the Roundup, Margaret. The reflections of the clouds are nice. You really saw a variety of birds! Hope your weekend is going well.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly found a wonderful range of D pictures! I, too, am amazed by the cygnet at this time of year. What a treat to see it!
ReplyDeleteYou have such wonderful sights on your walk. I love seeing the various birds mingling. Seems the especially bond with the swans. My walk would show cranes and if lucky some egrets and of course the resident ducks. I always marvel at the patience of the cranes, fishing by waiting on the banks of our small streams running from pond to pond, eyes trained on the water for a passing morsel.
