a cold, very dull day last December I stopped at the Flood Gates at Strangford
Lough near Newtownards and photographed this Little Egret. Tomorrow I will show you what other birds I found
there.

Great photos of a beautiful bird!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
I can remember when Little Egrets were rare enough to cause a flurry among birders in the UK. It's not so long ago either.
ReplyDeleteEven on a dull day, we an always find joy when getting out and photographing the birds... Great pictures, Margaret.

Beautifully captured - I love "water" birds with their long thin legs.
ReplyDeleteWonderful plumes these birds have - the RSPB had to be formed to protect them
ReplyDeleteThe second picture, looks like he is admiring his reflection in the water. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the wind might be fluffing its feathers up. - Margy
