This Hoopoe I saw on one of my early morning walks with
my daughter in Malawi. It has been on the ground
near the road but on seeing us approach, it flew high into this tree. I am linking to Wild bird Wednesday.

ReplyDeleteHi Margaret, that hoopoe looks larger than the African Hoopoe. Do you know if it's one or a Eurasian? We briefly saw the latter in Tanzania. Grant almost rode over one foraging in road this mmorning. Fortunately missed it! Have a great day. Jo
