THROUGH MY LENS - Malawi

These butterflies I saw on one of my early morning walks with my daughter in Malawi.  I thought this basically brown butterfly was very clever landing on a brown leaf as it is very good camouflage although part of it is missing.

    Brown it is is, but also rather nice! I often wonder how the butterflies with damaged wings cope.

    The poor thing really has a damaged wing. Wonder if this affects his flying? I also love the pretty shadow.
