Again it is time for FRIDAY’S HUNT and WEEKEND
REFLECTIONS. This week we are looking at the letter Q, your favourite image and autumn/spring. The first 3 images were taken at Mount Stewart House and Gardens and below is a beautiful REFLECTION in one of the ponds in the Formal garden which is possibly my FAVOURITE this week.
I thought these 2 pieces of topiary were QUITE
QUIRKY. Above is a man shooting a
QUARREL taken from his QUIVER into the Hare/Rabbit in the opposite hedge. You can see it pierced this animals rump.
For the past 2 Monday’s I have taken my bird group out
and these are a few photos I took of our autumn colours and mushrooms although
it has been very mild weather still and you can see there are still a lot of
green leaves on the trees.
I
am linking with FRIDAY’S HUNT and WEEKEND REFLECTIONS.
Many thanks for visiting and also for all your comments.
Love the funghi, and the reflections. I am not sure about the topiary. It is clever, but...
ReplyDeleteLovely autumn colours and reflection in the lake. The second mushroom looks like a face.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos - the pond is beautiful :) Great fungi pictures and I agree with Elephant's child comment on the topiary - it is unusual and clever but not keen on the theme! Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely, all of them. Fall is there in Ireland.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the others that a hunter shooting an animal wouldn't be my idea of a charming topiary, but I do admire the ability to create recognizable images in shrubbery. The shot in the garden is especially beautiful, as is the one of the pond.
ReplyDeleteUnusual topiary- hmmm. Love the lake shot and the funji..which is very unusual..at least to my eyes. Have a great Friday!
ReplyDeleteI always love seeing wild mushrooms. My favorite is the beautiful picture after the rabbit. The topiaries must have been thought up by hunters. They are really nice, but spoiled by people killing animals. I do love that jumping rabbit, and want to pull that arrow out of him. He must live to hop another day.
ReplyDeleteBeing a gardener I appreciate the work of the topiary. The first photo is splendid as are the gardens!
ReplyDeleteThe topiaries at Mount Stewart are wonderful and I really enjoyed the autumnal reflections too!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
Great set of pictures.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the others about the topiary and also enjoyed the reflections in the pond, so beautiful! Nicely done :o)
ReplyDeleteExcellent! Topiaries always make me smile.
ReplyDeleteYour "Q"s "Q"ualify "Q"uite nicely! I like your fungus amungus.
ReplyDeleteAwesome and delightful!
ReplyDeleteThat is quite some topiary. I love the swan and cygnets.
ReplyDeleteDearest Margaret; I learned the word "topiary" here (^_^)v And maybe 'for not for the person who saw directly', they look unique. Oh, I loved the way you used 'Q' ♫♫♫
ReplyDeleteYour Autumn color pictures are wonderful, my favorite is with swans in the lake (or pond).
Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend in Northern Ireland, xoxo Miyako*
Great shots! Such beautiful reflections!
ReplyDeleteInteresting that you have cygnets at this time of year. We have them here at at the moment as well at opposite end of the planet. (opposite seasons)
ReplyDeleteYou have an interesting collection of pretties here, Margaret. My favorite is first with the reflecting pond. Sooo pretty.
ReplyDelete..
Love the quirky hedges! Fun. Beautiful fall scenes. Love the swans on the water. Thanks so much for joining Friday's Hunt. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI love the series of mushrooms - great shots. I would like the rabbit topiary in my yard, but without the arrow!
