Once
again it is time to ink up with Friday's Hunt and Weekend Reflections. The prompts this week are the letter Y, Favourite and in my shoes.
This image shows a YELLOW YACHT as well as a wonderful reflection.
Let me introduce these two YOKELS that I found in the vegetable patch at Antrim Castle Gardens. They are YORICK and YAFFA and are parents of YVONNE below.
This
is a very YOUNG smartly turned out Drum
Major.
This is an even YOUNGER Drum Major and walking beside her without any leads are two wonderful behaved dogs.
This photograph was in the shop of Lady Dufferin who is a great artist and often does paintings of her own cows.
No more Y's. This image below is Linda's feet IN MY SHOES. Well for the photo only. I spotted these shoes in a charity shop window as we were making our way to the train station to come home and I asked Linda to model them. I did try them on afterwards but nearly broke my neck trying to walk in them although we both had a real laugh in the process.

I
visited the YOGHURT shop at Clandeboye Estate last week where they sell eggs and honey as well as a variety of different YOGHURTS. You can see below that the cattle have won many rosettes at different shows.

This is the view of the milking parlour through the window however I was not there at a time to see the cows being milked.
My
friend Linda and I went to Belfast on Saturday to see a play at the Ulster
Museum and passing Queen’s University I spied this sculpture that I thought
looked like it was YAWNING.

I think you might break your neck if you wore those red shoes as you traipsed around! The heels are very high, but they are so pretty. I love the shot of the boats and their reflections! So pretty! And I also like that sculpture of a face. The Yokels are so cool! My favorite one is the solitary one who is all alone. She sports a lovely cap and umbrella. I love that the loyal dogs are leading the parade! And the milking parlour looks SO clean! Beautiful scenery pictures at the bottom! What a great post, full of variety!

Hello Margaret you are brilliant with all the Y's. My favorite is the yellow yacht also because of its great reflection. The young drum majors are sweet and I love the good dogs. The yogurt would get my attention. Good clean dairy too. I LOL at your description of trying out those high heels. I thought I would ALWAYS where high heels as I love them. But I just cannot walk in them anymore. The estate and your photos are awesome. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend. Jo

Great set of 'Y' photos and beautiful shots of the estate. It is a very beautiful spot. I would love to have seen you trying to walk in those shoes.
ReplyDeleteI love the style of the drum major with a kilt showing a fine tartan. York and Yaffa seem to disarmingly cute to scare crows, or anything else, away, as their progeny Yvonne is way to attractive to be scary either :)
