Once
again it is time to ink up with Friday's Hunt and Weekend Reflections. The prompts this week are the letter Y, Favourite and in my shoes. Recently I shared with you my Six Mile Water walk
ending up at Antrim Castle Gardens so the first five images are taken from that walk.
This image shows a YELLOW YACHT as well as a wonderful reflection.
Let me introduce these two YOKELS that I found in the vegetable patch at Antrim Castle Gardens. They are YORICK and YAFFA and are parents of YVONNE below.
This
is a very YOUNG smartly turned out Drum
Major.
This is an even YOUNGER Drum Major and walking beside her without any leads are two wonderful behaved dogs.
This photograph was in the shop of Lady Dufferin who is a great artist and often does paintings of her own cows.
No more Y's. This image below is Linda's feet IN MY SHOES. Well for the photo only. I spotted these shoes in a charity shop window as we were making our way to the train station to come home and I asked Linda to model them. I did try them on afterwards but nearly broke my neck trying to walk in them although we both had a real laugh in the process.
I am leaving you with a few more images of reflections below that I took at Clandeboye Estate.
That's all for this week however I hope you enjoyed the photos I came up with to fulfil both these memes and I leave you to pick a FAVOURITE.
Many thanks for visiting and also to all those who leave comments.
I
visited the YOGHURT shop at Clandeboye Estate last week where they sell eggs and honey as well as a variety of different YOGHURTS. You can see below that the cattle have won many rosettes at different shows.
This photograph was in the shop of Lady Dufferin who is a great artist and often does paintings of her own cows.
This is the view of the milking parlour through the window however I was not there at a time to see the cows being milked.
My
friend Linda and I went to Belfast on Saturday to see a play at the Ulster
Museum and passing Queen’s University I spied this sculpture that I thought
looked like it was YAWNING.

I think you might break your neck if you wore those red shoes as you traipsed around! The heels are very high, but they are so pretty. I love the shot of the boats and their reflections! So pretty! And I also like that sculpture of a face. The Yokels are so cool! My favorite one is the solitary one who is all alone. She sports a lovely cap and umbrella. I love that the loyal dogs are leading the parade! And the milking parlour looks SO clean! Beautiful scenery pictures at the bottom! What a great post, full of variety!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful series... enjoying it greatly!
ReplyDeleteLove the young drum major and the dogs.
ReplyDeleteAnd the reflections.
Those shoes make me wince even looking at them.
Hello Margaret you are brilliant with all the Y's. My favorite is the yellow yacht also because of its great reflection. The young drum majors are sweet and I love the good dogs. The yogurt would get my attention. Good clean dairy too. I LOL at your description of trying out those high heels. I thought I would ALWAYS where high heels as I love them. But I just cannot walk in them anymore. The estate and your photos are awesome. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend. Jo
ReplyDeleteGreat photos.
ReplyDeleteBelas fotografias.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom fim de semana.

the yokels made me smile and so did the young drum majors! Very well turned out! I'm sure you could have walked to Antrim in those high heels!
ReplyDeleteThe photos of the estate have been wonderful his week, Margaret!
Yikes! Between the red shoes and the push-me, pull-you dogs this is definitely not a yawn of a post - I love that yawning sculpture!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend :)

ReplyDeletei wonder if the yokels work?? lovely reflections and those shoes??? nosebleed territory for sure...i am more of a flip-flop/flats kind of person!!!
ReplyDeleteA wide collection of find picture. I enjoyed your blog.
ReplyDeleteNice collection of photos! But those shoes - no thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, those shoes! If only I could wear a pair without breaking MY neck! :) I enjoyed all these great photos Margaret, very interesting places and lovely scenes.
ReplyDeletebeautiful reflections...and those shoes(how could anyone wear them and not hurt themselves?)
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos. Love the reflections. The shows are beautiful,on someone else's feet.I know I couldn't walk on them.
ReplyDeleteYes, those shoes are only for looks! So is that how you spell yokels? I tried to find it on google last week -nada results! I love kilts -every man (boy) looks good in them! The two young drum majors - so cute:) And also the two dogs -they must have been trained well! A great series, Margaret! Have a great weekend:)
ReplyDeletelovely boat reflections - the scarecrows remind me there is a scarecrow competition on locally - must remember to try and get to see it - missed it last year.
ReplyDeleteBelfast statue was excellent! In fact, all the photos made me smile. The blue yellow blue boats and reflections are exquisite.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful reflections. How does anyone where shoes like those.
ReplyDeleteThis was a really nice walk, Margaret. Your pictures are beautiful and the first is indeed a wonderful reflection. I would have liked to have been there for the milking also.
ReplyDeleteNote: We've been gone since May 31 but are home now. A few details in my post tonight.
..
Great set of 'Y' photos and beautiful shots of the estate. It is a very beautiful spot. I would love to have seen you trying to walk in those shoes.
ReplyDeleteI love the style of the drum major with a kilt showing a fine tartan. York and Yaffa seem to disarmingly cute to scare crows, or anything else, away, as their progeny Yvonne is way to attractive to be scary either :)
ReplyDeleteLove YOKELS, YORICK and YAFFA and their parents of YVONNE.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful estate! For a dairy farmer, it was really interesting to see the operation. Thanks! I had to laugh at those shoes. I'm pretty sure I'd never manage to take a single step in them. Thank you so much for joining Friday's Hunt. Have a great week ahead!
