As promised from last week’s WBW, I am showing some more birds that Judith and I saw as we travelled in a boat along the River
Shire in Malawi. There is the Squacco Heron, which is joined by the African Jacana, Bearded Woodpecker, Cattle and Little Egret, Retz's Helmetshrike, the White-crowned Lapwing and a video of the Spur-winged Geese in flight.
If the video does not appear below, CLICK HERE.
I am linking to WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY.
Many
thanks for your visit and also to all those people who leave comments.
That would have been an amazing day out! I'd recognise at least two of those birds (the egrets) from here in Australia, but the jacana and woodpecker would be something special!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delight it must have been to see those birds and even to be in the boat on a river! I like the woodpecker especially. We seem to have several types here. I'll have to look up that one.
