WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY - Birds in South Donegal (Part 2)

When I visited South Donegal Northern Ireland Ornithological Club last January, these are some of the birds I saw.  The weather was terrible so the shots are all a bit dull in fact nearly B & W!  There is a VIDEO of an Iceland Gull at the end.

This video included Iceland Gull in foggy conditions, Northern Divers, Red breasted Merganser, Long tailed Ducks and a collection of Gulls.  See if you can ID them. CLICK HERE if the video does not appear below.

Over the weekend even with very poor weather and near freezing conditions we managed to see 70 species of birds.  So I hope you have enjoyed seeing some of them in this post.  Look in on Thursday to watch the video of Pale bellied Brent Geese.

I am linking this post with WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY.

Thank you for visiting and also to those who leave comments.

  11. I enjoyed seeing all your different gulls, especially the Herring gull with its wings raised, and the snow white Iceland gull. Mergansers are always favorites of mine too. It's great to see yours since there were practically none at the beach where I went.

  12. A great series of gulls - but I think you must be very brave going birding in weather conditions like that! Far too cold for me :-(

  16. a lovely set of birds. And I don´t think the images are dull. Sometimes grey weather, as long as it is not dark, are better for photography :)
