WILD BIRD WEDNESAY - Birds Along Seacliffe Road

ALL these shots below were taken on my way home from church on Sunday as I drove the car along Seacliffe Road in my own home of Bangor.  I also saw, not 1 but 2 RNLI Lifeboats speedy across the rough seas.

Black headed Gull

Common Gull

This was the first Lifeboat I saw and the shot below shows the second ( far right)

Redshank

Turnstone

Then I saw this group of birds further along the road.  There are Dark bellied Brent, Redshank, Oystercatcher, Turnstone, Black headed Gull and Herring Gull. The following shots below are close ups of these birds.

I  hope you enjoyed seeing these Gulls, Waders and geese in this post.

I am linking this post with WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY

Thanks you for visiting.

Many thanks for leaving comments on my post.

  1. Beautiful pictures of these birds, Margaret.
The lifeboat is struggling with the storm.

  2. The name "Seacliffe Rd" tells a story Margaret and how nice to see it living up to the promise the name implies. You have a lovely selection of birds there, a good mixture and all feeding close together. It must be nice to have regular and close sightings of Brent Geese in particular, here we just see the odd one or two

  5. I hope all was well with the "Coasties" as we call them here. Out Coast Guard goes out in some of the nastiest weather in boats such as yours.

    Great collection of gulls.

  10. Always remember how Brighton was devoid of anything other than immature gulls when I used to visit. Lovely selection of birds there.

  11. I like Brent geese they're so handsome, I am a bit jealous of the number of marauding Redshank

  12. They certainly look like they are braving the cold.
Some lovely captures of your home birds!
I must say I enjoyed the photo of the lifeboat on the choppy waters - well done!

  13. My goodness, you have so many birds along your shore even at this time of year. What a nice drive home you had ... nice that you don't have to go far to get shots of so many different birds. I am so shut in with the bitter cold, that I can't get anywhere to take pictures of the few birds that brave our weather. Looks refreshing and beautiful. Hope whoever the life boats were going to assist are okay. Have a great week, Margaret. Enjoyed this post ...

  17. Love the birds, huddled into their feathers. And hope that the lifeboats were on practice duty. Or had a successful mission.

  27. Super birds you got there Margaret and I also like the shot of the lifeboat. I wonder what it felt like racing over those waves?

  28. Your water is looking choppy, no wonder those gorgeous gulls are all puffed up! Seacliffe Road looks a good spot to find lots of birds. Thanks for your visit, your suggestion that I work for the Australian Tourist Board made my day!

  30. You sure have a lovely ride home from church along the water's edge and mine is all out in horse country. Your images are all really lovely. All of the waterbirds would be such a fun thing to see and I imagine the air is cold upon your face as you photograph during these Winter months. Blessings~

  34. Wow - these are amazing birds. I love all the different shorebirds. In our area we don't find nearly as many as our coastline here in NW Washington is often rocky and without lots of beaches.
