When I was last on the Isle of Wight, I called at my
friend Eileen's home to go birding with her for the day, but before we left there, I took these bird images through her kitchen window. Later in the week I will show some more birds we found that day at Newtown Nature Reserve.

this post.
Good to see the Greenfinch.
ReplyDeleteHi Margaret,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, I love the Goldfinch.
Very well photographed.
Best regards,
Irma
I would love to spend time in that kitchen. Rather a lot of time.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images, Margaret, I love the starling. Such striking features, not easily seen on photos. As far as I can ascertain, this post arrived on blogger at 8.00 and the previous one at 7.30. I think they are separate posts. I clicked on "newer posts" below from the previous post to arrive at this post. Hope that makes sense. Greetings, Jo
ReplyDeleteHello Margaret, pretty collection of garden birds. My favorites are the Goldfinch and the Magpie... Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Margaret! Such striking markings and colorings.
ReplyDeleteTime to look outward and see those lovely birds on their feeders.
ReplyDeleteExcellent series of bird shots! Yes I knew about the advanced posting.
ReplyDeletePretty photos with the light just so. Thank you for letting me know about the ID on my goose. I think it is more like a Greylag goose than a Pink footed one. The reason I love blogging so much is the help I get identifying the bird photos I take, so I very much appreciated your input. Thanks again Margaret and have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Margaret.
ReplyDeleteOh, I do like to see the Greenfinch. Great pictures of all of them.
ReplyDeleteNicely photographed Margaret. It's good to see Greenfinches doing well in your neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteOh my, your Gold Finch is very different than ours ... more colorful in that ours don't have red on their face, but ours are a much brighter yellow in the summer. Out her kitchin window ... I would love to have those birds in sight of my window. I have many, but these are lovely. Have a wonderful day, Margaret ...

Wonderful photos! I have always wanted to see a magpie in person.
ReplyDeleteeven the starlings look beautiful!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThose are the prettiest pictures of starlings that I have ever seen! The Green finch looks just like the gold one, just a bit of a different color. Love the blackbird's matching eyes and beak! He is very fashionable!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty birds. A woman from Shropshire introduced me to the poem, 'One for sorrow, two for joy' about the magpie.
ReplyDeleteNice collection and superb pics, Margaret.

These photos are lovely. I am showing them to my three year old who is very interested in birds! You amazed her.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that you could get so many great pictures through a kitchen window.
ReplyDeleteNever been to the Isle of Wight..................or the Isle of Man. Or Ireland even. I need to catch up on visiting islands in that part of the world when i next go back....................
ReplyDeleteBirds are the best. Such colours, action and fun!
ReplyDeleteDearest Margaret; Wow, what a beautiful collection birds♡♡♡ How envious for the environment! Never can I have the experience to see these kind. I just can say here that the pigeon's color is a bit different :-)
ReplyDeleteSending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend, xoxo Miyako*
The green is very beautiful but also very beautiful starling comes over with his beautiful feathers package. What there are still many different birds:-)
ReplyDeleteI love the spotted feathers on the goldfinch's wings--so pretty, and the red is unexpected. Starlings are really pretty birds. I think it's their attitude and sheer number that trouble me...at least when they are bickering over the peanuts and trying to eat an entire suet cake in a day.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Margaret - the pigeon looks like it's been paint bombed!
