SATURDAY CRITTERS - Birds at Brading Marsh, Isle of Wight

All the photographs were taken from this bridge and I took these 2 panoramic shots to show you the area in front and behind me.  Other than the Mallard and Moorhen in the river and the Magpie on the grass, all the other shots have been heavily cropped.  Can you see any of them in these photographs? They are in photo 1,2,3 and 7. You have to admit, that is harder than seeing the Buzzard the other day!  Answer to yesterdays photo ID is at the END of this post.

I had brought food for the ducks so they enjoyed that and it was lovely to see them flying in.

 Herring Gull, Rook and Jackdaw.

There must have been about 600 Wigeon Ducks.

I hope you enjoyed the birds I saw from the bridge at Brading Marsh.

Now the bird in yesterday's post that I asked you to ID was a BULLFINCH.  
No one got it.  It was very difficult.

However I am going to tell you how you could have ID'ed it. In the UK, there are 3 birds that have white rumps, as yesterday's bird had shown that in the photo. 

 Wheatear,it couldn't have been that as it is not in the UK in the winter time and is slimmer than a Bullfinch. 

 Jay, it was too big  (size of a Crow) and of course that leaves Bullfinch.
